Does life feel overwhelming?
Life does not always go as planned or expected and can sometimes bring more questions than answers, more pain than joy, and more uncertainty than stability. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, persistent feelings of guilt, shame, or inadequacy, grief, loss, past or current trauma, life transitions, or constant worries, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey towards health and resilience and towards a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to you.
My Approach
I provide counseling that is client-centered and strengths-based. My counseling approach is holistic and takes into consideration all three interdependent aspects of a person: mind, body, and spirit. My primary approaches include narrative therapy and person-centered therapy. Additionally, I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and relaxation skills. I have additional training in trauma, the Enneagram, nutrition, shame, grief and loss.
What You Can Expect
Every story is important, and yours deserves to be heard. When you attend a counseling session, you can expect to be welcomed just as you are, and to be treated with dignity and respect. It is my desire and intention to create a safe space where we can work together to cultivate healing from past hurts, and where you can develop strength, resilience, and hope for the future.
When I am not counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children, socializing with friends, playing board games and cards, baking, reading, walking, watching movies, going out for coffee with friends, and going to concerts and musicals.
